- The ink carriage (where cartridges are held) should move to the center.
- Don’t force it—wait until it stops moving before touching anything.
3. Remove the Old Cartridge
- Press the release tab or gently pull the cartridge upward (depends on model).
- Remove the empty cartridge.
4. Unpack the New Cartridge
- Take it out of the box and remove all protective materials:
- Plastic tape over the nozzle (important!)
- Avoid touching the gold contacts or nozzles.
5. Install the New Cartridge
- Insert it into the correct slot (color-coded in many printers).
- Push down or snap it in place until it clicks.
6. Close the Printer Cover
- The printer will usually auto-align or run a short cleaning cycle.
- Follow any prompts on the screen or software.
7. Print a Test Page (Optional)
- To ensure it’s working, go to your printer settings and run a test print or alignment.
